AFTERCARE
Immediately After Waxing
Avoid Touching the Area Resist the urge to touch the freshly waxed area to prevent bacteria from entering open follicles.
Apply a Soothing Lotion Use a lotion or gel with aloe vera or tea tree oil to calm the skin and reduce redness.
For the First 24-48 Hours
Avoid Heat and Sweat Steer clear of hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, sexual intercourse, and intense exercise to prevent irritation and infection.
Stay Away from Direct Sunlight The skin is more susceptible to sunburn immediately after waxing. Apply sunscreen if you need to be outdoors.
Avoid Tight Clothing Wear loose-fitting clothes to allow the skin to breathe and prevent friction.
General Aftercare Tips
Moisturize Regularly Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
Exfoliate Gently After 2-3 days, gently exfoliate the waxed area to prevent ingrown hairs. Do this 2-3 times a week.
Avoid Harsh Products Refrain from using perfumed lotions, deodorants, or any harsh skincare products on the waxed area for a few days.
Use a Cool Compress If you experience redness or swelling, apply a cool compress to soothe the skin.
If You Experience Irritation
Apply Hydrocortisone Cream For significant irritation or bumps, a hydrocortisone cream can help reduce inflammation.
Consult a Professional If you notice any signs of infection (such as pus, excessive redness, or heat), contact a healthcare provider or your waxing specialist.
